We was seating for an aperitif to the small table of the Mokita bar, looking the eyes up on the walls of piazza S.Carlo, three cannonballs, generous gift of King Louis XIV appear in front of us. During days of Torino's siege (1706) French shot on the walls of city 95,000 gun balls , 21,000 bombs besides 27,700 grenades. Moreover they made exploding 576 tons of gunpowder.
En nous asseyant pour un apéritif aux tables du bar Mokita, nous élevons les yeux sur les murs de la place et y apparaissent nous ces trois balles de canons, généreux cadeau de Luis XIV. Pendant les jours de la siège de Torino (1706) les Français tirèrent sur les murs de la ville 95.000 balles de canon, 21.000 bombes outre à 27.700 grenades. A' part celà ils firent exploser bien 576 tonnes de poudre à canon.
Sediamo ai tavolini del bar Mokita per un aperitivo, alziamo gli occhi sui muri della piazza e ci appaiono queste tre palle di cannone, generoso regalo di Luigi XIV. Nei giorni dell'assedio di Torino (1706) i Francesi spararono sui muri della città 95,000 palle da cannone, 21,000 bombe oltre a 27,700 granate. Inoltre fecero esplodere ben 576 tonnellate di polvere da sparo.

The architecture and attention to detail is amazing on these walls! What a shame about the gunshots, but then that is character building. :)
