La Cancellata di Palazzo Reale

The railing of the Royal Palace separates piazzetta Reale from piazza Castello. Towards the end of the 17th century, in the same place where just now there's the railing, it was constructed the Pavaglione, it was a long arcade and it had in his middle a pavilion, in which happened the ostensions of the Holy Shroud. The Pavaglione was pulled down from the French during the Napoleonic occupation. In 1842 it was constructed the present railing and gate to the Royal Palace. In the middle of railing were placed the equestrian monuments of Castore and Polluce (Mythological Spartan heros).

La grille de Palais Royal sépare la piazzetta Reale de piazza Castello. Vers la fin de '600, sur le lieu où maintenant il s'érige cette grille, il fut construit le "Pavaglione", un long portique qui avait au milieu un pavillion dans lequel on faisait les ostensions du Sacre Suaire. Le "Pavaglione" fut abattue des Français pendant l'occupation de Napoleone. En 1842 furent construite les actuel grilles e l'entrée à palais Royal et au milieu furent posées les statues équestres des héros Spartiates Castore et Polluce.

La cancellata di Palazzo Reale separa la piazzetta Reale da piazza Castello. Verso la fine del '600, sul luogo dove ora si erige la cancellata, venne costruito il Pavaglione, un lungo porticato che aveva al centro un padiglione in cui avvenivano le ostensioni della Sacra Sindone. Il Pavaglione venne abbattuto dai Francesi durante l'occupazione Napoleonica. Nel 1842 venne costruita l'attuale cancellata di ingresso a palazzo Reale e al centro furono poste le statue equestri degli eroi mitologici Castore e Polluce.
