Piazza Vittorio Veneto, simplement appelée de tout le monde piazza Vittorio est la plus grande place avec arcades de toute Europe. Dans les 1817 en suite à l'abattage des mures de fortification citadines la ville commenca à s'agrandir vers le fleuve. Originairement on appelait place Vittorio Emanuele I. Après la 1re guerre mondiale le nom fut changée en place Vittorio Veneto. Les maisons aux côtés de la place ont un profil tel à duper l'observateur, en effet la place apparaît parfaitement en plan, en réalité le dessine architectural des maisons compense un dénivellement de 7mt. Pour ceux qui ils n'ont plus vingt ans, place Vittorio a été synonyme de amusements. Chevaux de bois et lunapark l'occupaient entièrement pour tout la période de Carnaval.
