Mechanical Nativity scene in via Po - Presepe meccanico di via Po

The mechanical nativity scene in via Po, was realized by the Canonica family in the first years of the last century. Since 1925 it's on view in the underground premises of the SS.Annunziata Church. More than 200 figures are in this mechanical crib. The movement is feeding by an electrical motor, recycled from an old ship of the nineteenth century.

Il presepe meccanico di via Po, fu costruito dalla famiglia Canonica nei primi anni secolo scorso. Dal 1925 è visibile al pubblico durante il periodo di Natale, nei locali sotterranei della Chiesa dell SS.Annunziata. Oltre 200 personaggi compongono il presepe. Il movimento meccanico è dato da un unico motore elettrico recuperato nell'800 da una nave in demolizione.
