This small public square has
suffered several transformations during the years. Borned as a private garden used by the Carignano palace inhabitants, it was transformed in public square since the 2nd half of '800. Afterwards it become a car parking and tramway passage for many years, Now it's a spectacular drawing-room onlyfor pedestrians...at last!Cette petite place a subi beaucoup de transformations. Née comme jardin pour les habitants de palais Carignano, elle fut transformée dans une publique place dans la seconde moitié du 800. Pour y devenir en suite parking pour voitures et passage des tramway citadins. Maintenant il est un spectaculaire "salotto" seulement pour piétons... finalement !
Questa piazza, altro salotto di Torino, ha subito negli anni alcune trasformazioni, dapprima giardino ad uso degli abitanti di palazzo Carignano, fu trasformata in una ubblica piazza dalla 2a metà dell'800. Per divenire in seguito parcheggio per auto e via di transito per i tram cittadini. Adesso è uno spettacolo di salotto per soli pedoni...finalmente!

My favorite of all of these are the benches in the bottom right corner. I LOVE BENCHES! These are beautiful...and the pavement underneath is exquisite!
